History Teacher - Middle/High School/Basketball Coach
It is a great honor to welcome Mr. Steven Mims to our Kid Stars Rising Christian Learning Academy Family! He is an award-winning basketball coach with over fifteen years of experience developing and mentoring students, both on and off the court.
Recognized as Coach of the Year for two consecutive seasons, Mr. Mims has consistently fostered a culture of excellence, ensuring that every one of his students earned opportunities to attend college. Through his efforts, he successfully helped players gain private and/or Christian school educations, proper exposure, and scholarships, enabling them to continue their athletic and academic careers at four-year universities.
Formerly attending North Carolina A&T University and Wingate University, Mr. Mims' educational background and certification is in Communication and Media Studies. We are honored to have Mr. Mims on our team to help instill the values of dreams, faith in GOD, perseverance, and accountability in our students, in conjunction with teaching History from a Biblical perspective.
In addition to teaching History to our middle/high school students, Mr. Mims will initiate and facilitate our Kid Stars Rising Christian Learning Academy "Shining Stars" Basketball Team.
