Mrs. Pam Powell-Burtis moved to Fayetteville from Irving, Texas in October of 2022 after her husband John went home to be with the Lord. She is looking forward to what the Lord has planned for her in this new chapter of her life. Her educational pursuits include an Associate Degree in Business Administration from Owens Technical College in Toledo, Ohio. Mrs. Burtis then earned her Bachelor's Degree from the University of Texas at Arlington.
After 20 years of management positions in the corporate world she joined her husband, John, at their mom-and-pop pharmacy in Irving, Texas. Mrs. Burtis managed the daily operations and customer service while John served as a beloved pharmacist to many in their community. In her free time, she loved serving her community with ministries and organizations like the Salvation Army and Red Cross. Through the years, serving in the Children’s Ministries in her home church was a blessing that grew her faith in and love for children.
As a child, Mrs. Burtis was inspired by many of her teachers to become a school teacher herself one day. Out of retirement, the Good Lord is making her dream come true. She is beyond excited to serve with Dr. Simmons, Mr. Simmons, and all the exceptional faculty and staff at this Academy. Mrs. Burtis feels blessed in being a part of this village where Christian character is made and lifelong learning is inspired!
