NC High School Graduation Requirements Students entering Grade 9 must earn at least 22 credits and satisfy the following subject/course requirements: English 4 - English I, II, III, IV Mathematics - 4 NC Math 1, Math 2, Math 3, plus a fourth math course aligned with what you plan to do after high school (college, work, etc.). Science 3 - 1 Physical Science, Biology, and 1 Earth/Environmental science course. History 4 - Founding Principles of the U.S. & NC: Civic Literacy, Economics & Personal Finance, American History, and World History. Health & Physical Education 1 - Also includes CPR instruction. Electives 5 - Split into two groups: • 2 elective credits from: Career & Technical Education (CTE), Arts Education, or World Language. • 4 elective credits from CTE, ROTC, Arts, or any courses (including cross‑disciplinary, dual enrollment, etc.). Note: beginning in 2026‑27, one credit will also be required in Computer Science, reducing elective slots.
We are excited to announce that our school will participate in the Opportunity Scholarship and the Education Savings Account program (Disabilities Grant) for the 2026-2027 school year! These programs are tremendous resources for the families of children in grades K-12 who need financial assistance to send their child(ren) to a private school of choice. Kid Stars Rising Christian Learning Academy is a Direct Payment School.
