La Apreciación del Arte es el estudio y análisis del arte, centrándose en los contextos culturales, históricos y estéticos en los que se creó. El objetivo de este curso es que los estudiantes profundicen en la comprensión de la importancia, el impacto y la relevancia del arte para la sociedad. La apreciación del arte no se limita a un medio o estilo específico, sino a una amplia gama de expresiones artísticas, como las artes visuales, la música, la literatura y la performance.

The school band program is open to students in grades 6-12 who are interested in exploring the wonderful world of music and instruments. Learning an instrument offers numerous benefits such as fostering creativity, building self-confidence, improving academic performance, enhancing memory, and developing patience and perseverance.

The band program offers instruction on the following instruments across the three main families:

Woodwinds: Clarinet, Flute, Saxophone
Brass: Trumpet, Trombone, Tuba
Percussion: Snare Drum, Bass Drum, Cymbals, Xylophone, Marimba

Students can rent instruments from music stores or purchase one of the instruments listed above from Amazon.

In Bible Study I, students will identify how the world began according to the biblical perspective. They will learn about key figures in the Bible such as Adam & Eve, Noah, Abraham, Moses, Esther, King David, Ruth, JESUS, Apostle Paul, and the impact their lives made on society during their lifetimes.  

Bible Study II will dig deeper into the scriptures and the students will interpret, analyze, and discuss how the WORD can be applied in their own personal lives. This course will include a capstone project where students will choose one significant figure from the Bible and complete a historical timeline of his or her life and the impact his or her life made on mankind in our current society.

Negocios y Finanzas es un curso que explora los desafíos únicos propios de las industrias de servicios, conectándolos con conceptos aprendidos en marketing y recursos humanos. Este curso proporciona a los estudiantes conocimientos sobre cómo tomar decisiones financieras personales y cómo estas afectan a otras personas, organizaciones y a la sociedad en su conjunto. Los estudiantes comprenderán la importancia de una gestión financiera sólida y cómo asignar fondos mediante el uso de una chequera, una cuenta bancaria y aplicaciones en línea.

French I emphasizes communicative proficiency, with special attention to the development of oral and listening skills, self-expression, and cultural insights. Classroom activities are varied and interactive and are focused on acquiring all four language competencies (listening, speaking, reading, and writing) concurrently in the context of a cultural narrative. Free-form classroom interactions are balanced with structured grammar and vocabulary drills.

French II is an intensive program for students who have received formal instruction in French, and who have achieved some proficiency but are not yet able to function independently in full immersion.  The class has the following goals:
1. Developing listening comprehension, oral competence, and socio-cultural communicative proficiency.
2. Acquisition of strategies for oral and written expression through progressive practice, with topical review of basic conjugated and syntactic structures.
3. An overview of various cultural aspects of French-speaking communities worldwide, through readings and recordings.

La Economía Doméstica, también conocida como ciencia familiar y del consumidor, es una disciplina que abarca la cocina, la nutrición, las tareas del hogar, las finanzas personales, el bienestar personal y los problemas del consumidor. Los estudiantes explorarán diversas trayectorias profesionales relacionadas con la Economía Doméstica y sus asignaturas optativas. Estas incluyen servicios profesionales de catering, servicios de hostelería y enfermería, por nombrar solo algunas.

Este curso introductorio busca familiarizar a los estudiantes con los conceptos generales y las prácticas de pensamiento de la informática, la ciencia de la computación y las ciencias de la información. Aprenderán conceptos de computación mediante proyectos visuales e interactivos auténticos utilizando lenguajes de programación visual. Las ideas clave de los principios de la informática incluyen la computación como actividad creativa, la abstracción, la facilitación de la creación de conocimiento a través de la computación, los algoritmos, la resolución de problemas, Internet y el impacto global de la computación. Se hace hincapié en la resolución de problemas, la comunicación, la creatividad y la exploración del impacto de la computación en nuestra forma de pensar, comunicarnos, trabajar y jugar. Se refuerzan las áreas de arte, lengua y literatura inglesa y los conceptos matemáticos.

El periodismo es un programa educativo que introduce a los estudiantes a los principios del reportaje, la redacción y la publicación de noticias, fomentando el pensamiento crítico y las habilidades de comunicación. Los estudiantes participan en la creación de periódicos escolares, revistas, publicaciones en línea y segmentos de noticias para radiodifusión. Esta experiencia práctica les permite desarrollar habilidades esenciales para la investigación, la entrevista, la redacción, la edición y la presentación de información.

Physical Fitness & Health Awareness aims to develop students' physical fitness, motor skills, and knowledge of healthy lifestyles. It includes various activities, such as sports and exercises, improvement of physical ability, teamwork, and social skills. Additionally, the health strand focuses on health-related fitness, environmental awareness, and safety practices.

Students need to understand how to think critically, observe, communicate effectively, find patterns, solve problems, analyze information, predict outcomes, and work collaboratively. These are all skills necessary to succeed in life outside of school, and STEAM projects and activities are designed to bring these skills to the surface. STEAM projects foster engagement and excitement in learning. This course will also examine the unique ways technology can be used to spread the gospel of CHRIST.

6. Creating robots
7. Graphic design

STEAM lets students connect their STEM learning through design practices and innovation in the arts. All materials at the students' disposal can be used to build robots. The goal is for the students to connect every project made to real-life situations.

Este curso introduce a los estudiantes a las artes teatrales. Se hará hincapié en la creatividad, la colaboración y la perseverancia. Se profundizará en las áreas de vocabulario teatral, roles, movimiento, actuación, lectura de obras, diseño y tecnología teatral, y la visualización de obras de teatro.
