My name is Marlene Diaz. I was born in Rockland County, New York and I am Puerto Rican. I received all my education in New York. I received my bachelor’s degree from St. Thomas Aquinas in Sparkill, NY with a minor in Bilingual Ed. and a major in Spanish. Then I received my master’s degree in ESL from Mercy College in Dobbs Ferry, NY. Finally, I also have a Bachelor’s Degree in Theology from Beacon University.
I have over 30 years of teaching experience. I have taught Bilingual Ed, Spanish and ESL. I taught in New York City and Upstate New York. Then, for the last 9 years, I have taught ESL for Cumberland County Schools and taught 1 year of Spanish at Red Springs High for Robeson County, N.C. Finally, I have taught the bible to children and adults and pastored with my husband, “Tabernacle of Christ Church,” for Assemblies of Christian Churches in Ossining, NY for 16 years.
I love children and have taught children and adults of all ages in diverse communities throughout my teaching career.
It will be a pleasure and honor to serve as a member of Board of Directors for, “Kids Stars Rising Christian Learning Academy,” in Fayetteville, NC.
